Meet the Centre Manager
My name is Samantha Di Pede and I feel so privileged to be the Centre Manager for Little Giants Oran Park. I hold my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care as well as my Diploma in Leadership and Management.
I have been in the Early Childhood sector for the last 8 years holding a variety of Educational roles, leading into my current Centre Manger position.
I enjoy building positive relationships with Children, their Families and my Team.
It is incredibly important to me that we provide a High-Quality Learning environment for our Children but also a reliable service for our Families.
As a mum of 4 boys myself, I understand the need for Families to be able to leave their precious Children in our capable hands, with the knowledge that they will be cared for in a safe, friendly nurturing environment.
I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially.
It is my desire as an Educator to help and guide children to meet the fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is inclusive, supports risk taking and invites a sharing of ideas. There are 3 elements that I believe are essential to establishing such an environment.
1) Our Educator’s acting as a guide.
2) Encouraging and allowing a Child’s natural curiosity to direct his/her learning.
3) Promoting respect for all living things (People, Animals, Nature, Community, Environments)
Teaching is a process of learning about new philosophies and new strategies.
Learning from Families and the Community.
Learning from colleagues and especially…
Learning from the children.
Children have taught me to open my mind to the joys, the innocence and the diversity of ideas in the world.
I can never forget how to smile with the new, cherish the old and laugh with the children. I look forward to meeting all who come through Little Giants entrance and working cooperatively with you to provide an exciting, stimulating and educational environment for your children to grow and develop!
